I am married to Patricia and have two children Erin and Aidan who both also train at Karate.
I started training to keep fit and to spend time with my children.
Early in my karate training I discovered I enjoyed competition Kumite and under Sensei Mark Holding’s training I have achieved far more than I ever thought I could.
When I reached brown belt, Sensei Holding encouraged me to assist at club coach for both competition and traditional classes.
Teaching (reversing the flow) is one of the most rewarding aspects of Karate I enjoy.
The challenge of grading to black belt under Sensei Doug James was something I didn’t know I could achieve, however Sensei Mark Holding and Sensei Ray Hind’s instruction is second to none.
My aspirations for the future are for my personal, my children’s and the students I teach continued improvement. It is rewarding belonging to a fantastic club and association with potential to go far.
